Secret Art Fair and Some New Work
From 1 to 3 March 2019 I will be at the Secret Art Fair at The Minories Galleries in Colchester.
On show will be a selection of my textured, blended colour abstracts, and some not-so-abstracts, drawn from my Glacial and Residue collections, plus some newer work. Below are previews of the new work that will be on show/sale:

Schism, 24″ x 40″ acrylic and texture on canvas

Extremities, 40″ x 32″ acrylic and texture on canvas
Schism and Extremities are updates to my 2017 glacial collection as I felt that the subject matter deserved some much larger works reflecting the evolution of my style since that collection was originally produced and shown. I’m really pleased with these.

Secret Water I, 28″ x 24″ acrylic and texture on canvas

Secret Water III, 32″ x 20″ acrylic and texture on canvas
The two Secret Water (I and III, number II is still in progress) works are inspired by walks around Hamford Water between Harwich and Walton-on-the-Naze on the north east Essex coast. This is the area that Arthur Ransome’s Secret Water book was based upon, hence the titles. I loved these books as a child and it was good to finally walk through this landscape, and get them down on canvas.
All works on show at the Fair will be available to buy, with prices starting from £195.
